Hard to believe but its time to start thinking about your seed needs for 2009. With the markets the way they are its hard to even know what to plant. Even though you haven't harvested all your crops yet, it's not a bad idea to at least book 60% of seed needs. We will be handling Croplan, Monsanto, NK, Peterson Farms Seed, SESVanderhave, etc. Corn Seed is in good supply but some of the new varieties are already in short supply. Soybean seed is in demand across the US. So the suppliers are saying the popular varieties are going to be short in the near future. Beet seed, Wheat & Sunflower seed supply at this time seem adequate.
In the very near future the RUC Seed salesman will be contacting you if not already. They will be helping the grower place the seed on the correct ground to get the maximum yield potential. Showing all the new varieties and plot data that we have from the area. Helping all growers place the correct "SEED DAY LENGTH "" for your corn, soybeans, wheat & sunflowers for your geography.
Please contact your RUC salesman soon. Call or just stop in and see what we have to offer for the 2009 season.
